Fantasy Football Week 4 Players to Sell

Image

1. Carson Steele (RB, Kansas City Chiefs)

Carson Steele has been a popular waiver wire pickup, especially after his 17-carry, 72-yard performance in his first NFL start. While that stat line isn’t bad, there are reasons to sell him now. Steele wasn’t involved in the passing game, and with Kareem Hunt being elevated to the active roster, his role may diminish quickly. Additionally, the Chiefs have one of the worst fantasy schedules for running backs going forward.

Even though Steele showed promise, he’s not being leaned on heavily in Kansas City’s offense, and the presence of Samaje Perine and Isaiah Pacheco further limits his upside. His current value might be as high as it gets, so now is the perfect time to sell him, especially to running back-needy teams or Pacheco owners.

Why Sell? Kareem Hunt’s return will likely cut into Steele’s workload, and the Chiefs’ schedule isn’t favorable for running backs.

2. Dallas Goedert (TE, Philadelphia Eagles)

Dallas Goedert is coming off what could be his best game of the season, but his big performance may be a mirage. Nine of his targets came after DeVonta Smith left the game, and AJ Brown is expected to return soon, which will cut into Goedert’s target share. With the tight end landscape looking grim this year, it might be tempting to hold onto Goedert, but this is actually the perfect time to sell him.

Fantasy managers who are desperate for a tight end—especially those who lost Travis Kelce or Mark Andrews to injury—could see Goedert as a must-have. Use that to your advantage and trade him while his value is at its peak.

Why Sell? Goedert’s role is likely to shrink once the Eagles’ full offense is healthy again. His value may not be this high for the rest of the season.

3. Stefon Diggs (WR, Houston Texans)

This may be a bit of a surprise, but the time to move on from Stefon Diggs could be now. Diggs had his best game of the season in Week 3, catching 10 passes for 94 yards. However, the future of the Texans’ offense appears to revolve around Nico Collins and Tank Dell, two younger receivers with growing chemistry with quarterback CJ Stroud.

With Joe Mixon also expected to get more involved in the offense, the targets for Diggs could dwindle as the season progresses. Selling high on Diggs now could net you significant value before his production levels off.

Why Sell? Diggs’ best days in Houston might already be behind him as the offense shifts focus to younger players like Tank Dell and Nico Collins.

Bonus Buy: Tank Dell (WR, Houston Texans)

As a bonus, Professor Tony recommends buying Tank Dell. The connection between Dell and CJ Stroud is strong, and despite a slow start, Dell is poised for a breakout. His current value is low, making now the perfect time to target him in trades.

Why Buy? Dell has all the makings of a breakout player in the Texans’ offense, with WR2 upside as the season progresses.

That’s your sell list for Week 4: Carson Steele, Dallas Goedert, and Stefon Diggs. Offloading these players while their value is still high will put you in a strong position for the rest of the season. And don’t forget to keep an eye on Tank Dell as a potential buy-low candidate. Good luck with your trades and your matchups this week!
